Colorado River Rafting with Antelope Slot Canyon
Begin your adventure as you depart Williams, Arizona in a motorcoach or van with Grand Canyon Store. You will navigate through Flagstaff, Arizona and onto the Navajo Indian Reservation and Painted Desert area of Northern Arizona on your way to Lower Antelope Canyon near Page - Lake Powell, Arizona. Grand Canyon Stores’ special mini-coaches are equipped with large windows and comfortable seats.
At Lower Antelope, a Navajo Guide will take you on a tour of the famous Antelope Slot Canyon. In Lower Antelope Canyon, you will need to be able to descend and ascend metal ladder type stairs. It is not recommended for those over 300 lbs. And, it is not recommended for those with extreme claustrophobia. You must be age 5 or above.
Leaving Lower Antelope Canyon you will receive your lunch and be transferred to Colorado River Discovery
in the small town of Page Arizona. You will then be transported to the base of Glen Canyon Dam through a 2-mile tunnel blasted into the walls of Glen Canyon where you board 22-passenger pontoon rafts for your 15-mile journey down the Colorado River!
One of the last remaining intact sections of Glen Canyon, this stretch of the Colorado River consists entirely of smooth water, which means that this trip can be enjoyed by virtually everyone who’d like to take part, including children as young as 5. Your trip consists of a short, easy walk to view a panel of ancient petroglyphs inscribed by the Ancestral Puebloans, and time to take a quick dip in the cool, clear Colorado River if you wish.
Your river trip ends at historic Lees Ferry, Arizona where your van or mini-coach waits for you, ready to make the return trip to Williams, Arizona.
Trip length is approximately 13 hours. Price includes all taxes, fuel surcharges, lunch, plus water and lemonade on the river. This tour is offered May 1st through Septermber 30th. Grand Canyon Store keeps group sizes small for a more personalized experience, so be sure to book your seats well in advance.
