Temporary Fuel Surcharge

What is a fuel surcharge?
A fuel surcharge is a additional charge that helps manage the ever-increasing fuel costs. These prices can vary by time of the year, region of the country, international events, etc. Rather than trying to react to these factors in their overall pricing structure on a daily basis, companies institute a fuel surcharge based upon national or regional averages.

Why is a fuel surcharge necessary?
Global aviation markets have been reacting to increased and fluctuating fuel and oil prices.  In the past, we have been able to absorb these costs into our regular operating budgets. However, we have seen an incredible increase in the cost of fuel. As an aviation company, fuel costs are one of the most important items in our cost structure. The cost of fuel is integral to the aviation industry, so a surcharge is a small additional cost that provides relief from high fuel prices, while still continuing to the same quality of service expected from us.

Is it included in the price of the tour?
No. Fuel surcharges are not included in the price of any of our tours.

Why not?
Fuel surcharges, like fuel prices, fluctuate rapidly. The price of fuel today may not be the price of fuel the day you fly. Because of that the surcharge is left out of the price on all of our tours. By doing this the surcharge is implemented when needed and discarded when it’s not necessary.

Where do you pay the surcharge?
The surcharge will be paid during the check-in process.
