Tour Description

Visionary Air TourYour trip begins when our shuttle bus picks you up at your hotel. After a quick check in at the Boulder City Airport, you're off. Scenic Airlines 19-passenger Twin Otter airplanes feature oversized windows, perfect for photography and videotaping. Taped narration is also offered in over ten different languages.

After flying eastward over the city of Las Vegas, you swing South for a flyover of Hoover Dam. This colossal structure is remarkable even by modern engineering standards. But even from up in the air, you can see its distinctive art deco features, which reveal its origins back in the 1920's. After our flyover of Hoover Dam, we continue on to sparkling Lake Mead, a paradise for boaters, fishermen, and campers seeking a refreshing swim on a hot day. As lake turns into river, the Grand Canyon is just up ahead.

This part of the Grand Canyon is home to the Hualapai Indians, who operate their own hospitality enterprise called "Grand Canyon West." Here, canyon views are known for their dramatic panoramas, steep cliffs, and almost complete absence of guardrails, prompting some rimside spectators to actually crawl to the edge on their bellies to take a photo! After about an hour in the air, it's time to head back to Boulder City, where our shuttle waits to take you back to your hotel. Hotel shuttle service is provided free of charge to most Strip and Downtown area hotels.
