The Las Vegas Inner Grand Canyon Jeep Tour

You’d love to go to the bottom of the Grand Canyon, but a helicopter ride isn’t for you.  If you’re in Las Vegas, you’re in luck – now, there’s the Las Vegas Inner Canyon Jeep Tour!

Finally, you too can see the Grand Canyon from top to bottom AND stay on solid ground, while experiencing Arizona’s living history from the rim to the river - and some interesting places in between.

Originating at the Sahara, Flamingo, or Excalibur Hotel, you’ll travel in an air conditioned mini-coach on Highway 93 past two modern marvels of engineering, representing two centuries: the Hoover Dam and the Colorado River Bypass Bridge.  As you exit the Interstate in Kingman, Arizona, you’ll be on one of the last remaining stretches of the original Mother Road - Route 66 – the true-life inspiration for Disney/Pixar’s film, “Cars.”

After arriving in historic Peach Springs Arizona, you’ll embark on a walking tour of the fascinating Grand Canyon Caverns.  A rare example of a “dry” cavern system that was discovered in the 1920’s, you’ll enjoy learning about the subterranean geology of the region, and sharing fascinating and sometimes humorous anecdotes surrounding the Caverns’ human history.

When the Caverns tour is completed, you’ll climb aboard a custom-built open air Jeep for the ultimate journey - to the bottom of the Grand Canyon!  As you descend down the Diamond Creek road (the only road to the bottom of the Grand Canyon) into the depths of the chasm, watch as massive canyon walls begin to tower over you, and marvel at views of the spectacular landscape and unusual desert plants.  You might even catch a glimpse of a wild burro.  Upon reaching the Colorado River, you’ll break for a leisurely lunch on the very bank of the mighty river.  You’ll have plenty of time to explore, photograph, and take in the incredible scenery before returning to the Caverns, where you’ll transfer back to your mini-coach for the return trip to Las Vegas.

You’ll take home wonderful memories of how much you got to see and do, how easy it was, the fact that you didn’t have to fly, and that someone else did the driving for a change!   Group sizes are kept small for a more personalized experience, so you must book your seats early.

*Nevada recognizes Daylight savings time March 14 - November 7, 2010. Arizona doesn't recognize Daylight Savings time so there will by a time difference when you cross Hoover Dam during this time.

Times and durations are approximate and may be delayed by weather, traffic or other factors.  We strongly discourage you from scheduling any time-sensitive activities, such as dinner reservations or show tickets, for the evening following your Las Vegas Inner Canyon Tour.  GrandCanyon.com and its affiliates will assume no responsibility for activities missed due to unexpected delays.
