What about that Grand Canyon Skywalk?

What you’ll learn in this video:

  • Why everything you think you know about the Grand Canyon Skywalk may be  wrong
  • Why questions about the Grand Canyon Skywalk drive the Park Rangers crazy
  • Why you’d better want to see the Grand Canyon Skywalk really bad before you decide to drive there
  • Why you probably shouldn’t drive there, even if you DO want to see the Skywalk
  • Why Grand Canyon West and Grand Canyon National Park are so different

Where to find what YOU want to know:
:38 – WARNING! WARNING! MISINFORMATION ALERT!  If you think the Grand Canyon Skywalk is located at Grand Canyon National Park, you’re off the mark by about 250 miles!  The Grand Canyon Skywalk is at Grand Canyon West, a Native American Tribal Park located East of Las Vegas.

1:42 – Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should… Driving to the Grand Canyon Skywalk means a 3-hour trip from Las Vegas, 5 hours from Phoenix, longer from everywhere else.  But the last 10 miles of the road to Grand Canyon West is unpaved.

2:14 – Here a little nip, there a little cut… Upon entering Grand Canyon West in your own vehicle, you will be required to pay several fees: a tribal park entrance fee, which includes rim-top bus transfers, a parking fee, an environmental impact fee… and that’s before you pay to get on the Skywalk!

2:44 – Smooth(er) Skywalking… How a Las Vegas Grand Canyon West tour can get you to the Grand Canyon Skywalk safely and comfortably, for one fair price.

2:47 – Skywalk by lunchtime, Vegas by dinner…The Las Vegas Indian Adventure Skywalk Airplane and Ground tour is one of the most efficient ways to experience the Grand Canyon Skywalk.

3:33 – A little “talk” before you “walk:” Certain items are not allowed on the Grand Canyon Skywalk.  Watch here to learn what these are.

4:30 – If flying “won’t fly” with you… get to the Grand Canyon Skywalk by motorcoach and still get back to Vegas at a decent hour.

4:56 – Vive le differenceGrand Canyon West has some significant differences from Grand Canyon National Park, both good and bad.  Watch here to learn what these are, and whether or not a visit to this area would be right for your family.
