This is truly the ultimate Grand Canyon adventure, and it’s tailor-made for those of you staying in Williams or Flagstaff. You will take an exciting 30-minute flight over the Grand Canyon aboard a state of the art Eco-Star helicopter!
After your flight, you’ll sit down to enjoy the spectacular IMAX presentation “Grand Canyon: The Hidden Secrets,” after which you’ll head over to the IMAX Theatre food court for lunch. Then, time to experience Arizona’s #1 National Park, the Grand Canyon.
Then you’ll head to Grand Canyon Village where more amazing views and historic treasures await you. On your way, say “howdy” to the world-famous Grand Canyon Mules. Those mule rides are booked up months ahead and leave folks hurting. But you’ll be getting to the bottom of the Grand Canyon the easy way tomorrow - on four wheels!
Day 2 of your Ultimate Grand Canyon Adventure begins with pickup in Williams or Flagstaff; then, it’s time to “get your kicks on Route 66!” Seligman, Arizona was the true-life inspiration for the fictional town of Radiator Springs from Disney Pixar’s movie “Cars.” Even Mater and Red are still here. Then you'll head to Peach Springs, Arizona.
At Peach Springs, you’ll board safari vehicles and travel to the bottom of the Grand Canyon via the beautiful Diamond Creek road. As you go deeper into the depths of the earth, you’ll discover that the Grand Canyon really consists of many sub-canyons that merge into one. On the banks of the mighty Colorado River, it’s time to relax and enjoy a box lunch. You’ll have plenty of time to hike, explore, and refresh yourself with a splash in the cool river before heading back to the rim and back to Williams or Flagstaff.
Each day’s tour is 7-8 hours in length. Your tour price includes all taxes, fuel surcharges, your helicopter flight, IMAX tickets, Grand Canyon Park entrance fees, Hualapai Tribal Park entrance fees, and lunch each day. Those who prefer not to take the helicopter flight on Day 1 may omit this component for a reduction in price. This truly is the Ultimate Grand Canyon Adventure! Group sizes are kept small for a more personalized experience, and while it’s not nearly as hard to book as a Grand Canyon mule ride, advance reservations are still strongly recommended. 11.25/55 AM Check-in for Grand Canyon Helicopter Flight
12.30 PM: Enjoy IMAX presentation “Grand Canyon: The Hidden Secrets”
1.15 PM: Lunch at IMAX Theatre Food Court
2.00 PM: Enter Grand Canyon National Park and drive to Yavapai Point & Museum
3.00 PM: Tour Grand Canyon Village Historic District including
El Tovar Hotel, Hopi House Gift Shop, Verkamp’s Gift Shop, Bright Angel Lodge, Lookout Studio Gift Shop, Livery Stable
3.30 PM: Depart Grand Canyon National Park
5.30 PM: Drop-off Flagstaff Arizona
Itinerary – Day 2
8.30 AM: Pickup Flagstaff, Arizona
10.30 AM: Arrive at Peach Springs, take Safari vehicles to the bottom of the Grand Canyon!
12.00 PM: Arrive at Colorado River, eat Box Lunch, hike, explore, etc.
2.00 PM: Depart canyon floor back to Caverns for transfer back to mini-coach
4.00 PM: Depart Peach Springs, Arizona for Flagstaff
5.30 PM: Return to Flagstaff
